**To update an accelerator**

The following ``update-accelerator`` example modifies an accelerator to change the accelerator name. You must specify the ``US-West-2 (Oregon)`` Region to create or update accelerators. ::

    aws globalaccelerator update-accelerator \
        --accelerator-arn arn:aws:globalaccelerator::123456789012:accelerator/1234abcd-abcd-1234-abcd-1234abcdefgh \
        --name ExampleAcceleratorNew \
        --region us-west-2
